Graduated with second-class honors from Colombo University School of Local Medicine in 1995. I completed a postgraduate diploma in Ayurveda Hospital Management from Sabaragamuwa University in 2003. In the year 2021, an MSc in Ayurveda Hospital Management was completed at the same University. In 1996, she entered the government service as a government medical officer and completed four years of service in Deniya Central dispensary as her first appointment. Subsequently, Beliatta completed four years as an Ayurveda resident physician. Served successfully for eight years as a resident Medical Officer at Aparekka Ayurveda Hospital. After that, she completed two years of successful service as a medical officer in charge of Kekanadura Central Dispensary and then completed one year of service as a Medical officer in charge of Welipitiya Ayurveda Hospital.
After that, she served as Medical Superintendent of Galle District Hospital for eight years in the administrative department very successfully in the face of many challenges. After that, getting a permanent appointment as the Assistant Commissioner of the Southern Provintial Health Department, she was able to provide services to the Southern Provintial Council under the department with the combination of all the knowledge she acquired for one year.
In the year 2021, On August 16, 2021, the Southern Province Ayurveda Commissioner assumed office. Since the provisions set aside under the provincial specific provisions of that year were not formally required for the related works, the said provisions were utilized, and the purchase of the pill-producing machine and the related crushing machines under the provision of fifty-one million rupees for the Beliatta drug pharmaceutical factory.
Given the Covid epidemic situation, the establishment of Aparakka Hospital and Waralla Ayurveda Hospital as Covid intermediate hospitals based on the provisions and assistance of the Ministry. In the year 2022, modernizing the paid wards and panchakarma section of the Galle District hospital opening the laboratory, and making provision of 180 lakhs for the equipment needed for the laboratory. To eliminate child malnutrition in the year 2022, implementation of the healthy drink of the department in connection with pre-child care centers to fully cover five divisional secretariat divisions of the province. Modernization of the main office of the Ayurveda department in the year 2023.
Diversification of pharmaceuticals and increasing the production capacity of the pharmaceutical manufacturing plant to make it a profitable company within this year itself. Also this year, I was fortunate to convert the Deiyandara Ayurveda Dispensary into a rural hospital and to own a three-storied hospital complex worth more than 200 million rupees on behalf of the Department of Ayurveda. Also, I am happy to inform you that in the year 2025, in this hospital, the paid word complex and a section to provide treatment for foreign nationals will be established. In the year 2023, the Ambalangoda Ayurveda Hospital’s paid word complex was also started. Providing active participation in the 10 Southern People’s Mission programs to improve the health of rural people in the province during the two years of 2023 -2024. I am happy to inform you that all the development projects planned through the allocations received by the department in the year 2024 have been implemented. In the year 2024: my time away is one of the major milestones, namely the only international Ayurvedic scholarly discourse and conference outside the central government, the Ayurveda trade fair, and the Indian Consulate General in Sri Lanka for the first time introducing a scholarship system for Sri Lankan children to study in India. the concept of Sri Lanka in India 190 is a special task I have long been bringing in. Also, I am extremely happy that I have been able to put manuals for many sustainable development projects not only for the Southern Provincial Council but also for the Ayurveda field itself based on these international relations. A research center and Ruhunu University and the knowledge of our Ayurveda doctors I have also laid down manuals to launch several permanent updating programs in the future successfully.
Implementation of “Dakshina Jeewaka Abhiman 2024” to increase the productivity of all institutions in the province in that year.
